Orient Mako XL CEM75004B

Recently I was out shopping for a Seiko dive watch and the store I visited had several Orient watches. I had never heard of the brand and the salesman had mentioned that for the price they were a very nice value. What they did they did very well. I did a little research and here are the specifications.

Features Day-Date Indicator, Day Quick Set Button(Press to switch day)
Case Stainless Steel Case, Screwed-down Crown
Band Stainless Steel
Glass Scratch Resistant Mineral Crystal Glass
Movement ORIENT Automatic Caliber 46943, 21 Jewels
Drive System Self-Winding Movement
Running Time 40 Hours
Water Resistant 200 meters
Case Diameter 44.50mm
Case Thickness 13.30mm

For $170 I decided I would buy it just to see how it compared to the Seiko I recently purchased.

Now the new XL series is 46mm compared to the older "Mako" model which is only 41mm. May not sound like a big diffeence but I assure you those 5mm are a huge difference on your wrist.

Below are a few pictures of the Orient Mako XL with orange bezel.
